Opportunity
What is a table? And what can a table be? — a 3mm plastic layer separating dirt from food. We used the learnings of our two week exploration to transform the popcorn machine from a closed appliance into the central feature of our workshop presentation and the EASA TV screening.
Strategy
Instead of trapping popcorn inside a small glass box, we built an open floor surface to catch the falling kernels. This brought the action down to a human scale and turned a simple snack into an active social gathering.
